Southwestern Sidecar

1 1/2 ounces rye whiskey
1 ounce triple sec
1/2 ounce lemon juice
4 drops Memphis Barbeque Bitters
lemon twist (for garnish)
chile-sugar (for rim, see below)

Mix rye, triple sec, bitters and lemon juice in a shaker with ice. Stir and strain into chilled, rimmed cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.

2 teaspoons granulated sugar
3/4 teaspoon New Mexico red chile
1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
